In France, a 16-year-old girl in an attempt to imitate the lifestyle and behavior of the characters of the successful American TV series Euphoria, gave up her last breath as she took an excessive amount of medication.
The events took place at the house of the 14-year-old cousin of the girl, on Friday night (21/1) to Saturday (22/1), at Tonans, a small town in the southwest France. The two teenagers were found unconscious in their bedroom the next morning, according to what a source close to the authorities’ investigations told the French Agency.
The emergency services failed to resuscitate the 16-year-old girl and her cousin is being treated, without, however, her life being in danger. According to the first data of the research, the two teenagers wanted to imitate the behavior of the protagonists of the Euphoria series.
Its production HBO shows the difficulties faced by a young ex-drug addict – played by the actress Zentagia – and her friends from high school.
On January 9, hours before the premiere of the 2nd season of the series Euphoria at USA, the Zentagia warned her fans that the series is intended for adult audiences.
“I know I’ve said it before, but I want to tell everyone again that Euphoria is for adults. “This season, perhaps even more so than the previous one, is very moving and deals with issues that can be difficult to watch,” the 25-year-old actress wrote in her account on Instagram, which has 125 million followers.
