France: At least seven killed in building explosion

At least seven people have been killed, including a newborn baby, in an explosion at a building in southwestern France.

The cause of the explosion in the building has not been clarified yet, today early in the morning in the center of Saint-Laurent-de-la-Salanque.

Pictures released by the local fire department show debris on the ground floor of the building, while the fire that hit nearby buildings and shops.

The French Minister of the Interior, Gerald Darmanin, informed that later in the day he will go to the spot, while he expressed his condolences to the victims and their relatives.
