Outgoing Industry Minister Agnes Panier-Runase will take over the new “Energy Transition” ministerial portfolio, according to Elize.

The Ministry of Labor is taken over by 43-year-old Olivier Dousseau, also of political origin from the Center-Left (once a member of parliament for the Socialist Party).

Among the other members of the government under Prime Minister Elizabeth Bourne announced today by the presidency are minority historian Pap Diage to lead the Ministry of National Education and a French-Lebanese Rima Abdul Malak at the Ministry of Culture.

Ms. Bourne, who was appointed the new head of government a few days ago by the head of state Emanuel Macron, is 61 years old and has a career as a public servant, coming from the wider area of ​​the Center-Left.

The two previous prime ministers during Macron’s presidency – also of center-left political origin – were of political origin from the center-right.
