France: “Cuts” all flights to and from Brazil until recently

In an effort to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus strain, first identified in Brazil, the France will suspend all flights to and from the South American country. This was stated today (13/04) by the Prime Minister of the country Jean Castex, before the National Assembly.

“We note that the situation is deteriorating and we have decided to suspend all flights between France and Brazil until recently “, Kastex noted according to the Athenian-Macedonian News Agency.

Top French doctors have been calling on the government for days to cut off all air links with Brazil.

One month ago, French Health Minister Olivier Veran said that about 6% of Covid-19 cases in the country came from the most contagious strains first identified in Brazil and South Africa.
