The French health authorities announced today that the number of people being treated with Covid-19 has increased by 156 in the last 24 hours, the highest daily increase since August 23, reaching a one-month high of 6,865.
The number of patients infected with the disease and admitted to the ICU has increased by 40 reaching 1,141, the ninth continuous increase in the last ten days.
French President Emmanuel Macron will deliver a speech tomorrow focusing on reviving coronavirus infections as well as his economic reform agenda, the government announced last week.
The country also recorded 55 new hospital deaths from the pandemic in the last 24 hours, the highest daily increase since October 5, bringing the total to 91,053.
Including the deaths recorded in nursing homes, the number of deaths due to Covid-19 in France is close to 118,000.
