The last day of the election campaign in view of the first round of the presidential elections on Sunday in France today, with Emanuel Macron and Marin Le Pen appearing favorites to participate in the second round that will take place on April 24.
As for the other candidates, the question is already whether they will propose to their voters who or whom to vote in the second round, with the center-right candidate Valeri Pekres stating today that he will not nominate but will say what he will vote for and the radical left candidate. Jean-Luc Melanson to state that he will not propose because it does not make sense, nor the right to do so.
Re-election candidate Emanuel Macron also raised his voice against Marin Lepen today, calling her program racist, with Lepen later accusing him of excessive aggression.
In general, the polls show Macron moving in the first round around 26% and in the second round around 53% and Lepen around 22% and 47% respectively. However, many analysts speak of a “current” in recent days in favor of Le Pen.
