An alarm was sounded on Wednesday (10/8) at Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport. A man who was holding a knife was killed by a police bullet.
The incident became known from his imgs airport and the police, according to the Athens News Agency.
“The police neutralized a threatening person with a knife at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle airport this morning“, announced the police department of the French capital.
The incident happened at Terminal 2F early in the morning. “A homeless man was bothering officers and border police reinforcements were called in to remove him,” an airport img said.
The man walked away cursing the officers and then returned brandishing a knife. One of the officers opened fire on him, according to police imgs.
An AFP photographer who was present at the scene explained that “a large man was brandishing a knife-like object at the police. he was warned, but he went ahead and a policeman fired. A single bullet fell,” he said.
The victim was taken to a zone where passengers do not have access, the photographer added.
