Fifty-seven percent of French people expect President Emanuel Macron’s party to secure a majority of seats in the French parliament in a two-round election this month, but Prime Minister Elizabeth Bourne would like to step down. according to a BVA Opinion / Orange / RTL poll that sees the light of day today.
According to the poll, conducted on a representative sample of 1,002 citizens from May 31st to May 2nd, an even higher percentage, 68%, does not want to see Jean-Luc Melanson as prime minister either.
It is not clear from this survey who or what the French would prefer as prime minister. The poll also revealed that 6 out of 10 citizens do not know who the MP who represents them is.
Parliamentary elections are being held in France on 12 and 19 June.
