France: Questions about the 12-year-old girl who was found dead in a suitcase – The fight of the 24-year-old suspect with the parents of the minor

A week after murder of Lola, whose twelve-year-old girl the body was found in a suitcase abandoned in the yard of the apartment building in which he lived in Paris and where her parents were janitors, the French police have probably concluded that the killer is a 24-year-old woman, without, however, being clear about both her motivations and her psychological profile.

The suspect in the murder is a woman from Algeria, who came to France six years ago to study, whose sister lives in the same apartment building where the victim lived and hosted her from time to time. Some French media report that the killer had recently argued with the doormen-parents of the girl and they hint that it might be an “act of revenge”while others show her as “mentally disturbed”, citing the testimonies of her sister, her friends, and possibly her interrogators.

What is certain, however, is that, based on what the security cameras recorded, the killer and the victim appeared on the afternoon of Friday, June 21 to enter in the early afternoon hours together in the apartment building and a few hours later to the 24-year-old leaves the building alonecarrying a crate inside which the body of the twelve-year-old girl was found in the evening. The girl’s parents had reported their daughter missing since noon, when they found that she did not return home from her school.

This tragic event has been shocking French public opinion for a week now, with many French media outlets pointing out that both the killer and the victim, whose photos have been released, are what the press are calling “girls next door”. Indicative is the fact that psychological support units provide help primarily to the classmates of the twelve-year-old girl, but also to the police officers who from the first moment took over the case, without unfortunately being able to save his life.
