France: The far-right Marine Le Pen will run for president in the 2022 elections

The French far right Politician Marin Le Pen stated today during a press conference that she will be a candidate in the 2022 presidential elections, estimating that an electoral victory is absolutely “probable”, reports APE.

The current president of the country Emanuel Macron had prevailed over Le Pen in the 2017 elections.

“I will be a presidential candidate once again,” she said Lepen, which leads the far-right National Alarm.

Polls once again show Macron and Lepen as the two candidates who will go to the second round of elections in 2022 with Macron appearing as the final winner.

However, concerns about the Macron administration’s handling of the health crisis and terrorism, immigration and violent crime have made Macron’s position difficult.

Last month, Xavier Bertrand, a conservative politician who served as health minister from 2005-07, announced that he would also run for president.
