France: The head of the intelligence service of the armed forces has been replaced

France has decided to “change the guard” in the command of the intelligence service of its armed forces. As it became known, General Eric Vido, who seven months ago was appointed head of the military intelligence directorate, is being replaced “in the context of the reorganization of the service”.

This development was expected after the public confession, on March 6, of the Chief of the General Staff of the French Army, General Thierry Burkard, that his information on the issue of Ukraine was incomplete.

“The American services were saying that the Russians were going to attack Ukraine and they were right. Our services were saying that invading Ukraine would have a monstrous cost to Russia and would not happen. They were wrong,” Burkard told Le Monde. .
