France: The mask remains mandatory in busy places in Paris

The use of the mask remains mandatory in Paris, outdoors in the busiest parts of the French capital, including in the queues formed at tourist attractions, the city police announced today.

A new order was issued to clarify the conditions of this ban and in order to comply with the decision taken on Friday by an administrative court to suspend the mandatory use of masks throughout Paris.

The text “imposes the compulsory use of the mask” especially in places where “the density of the population does not guarantee, without the use of the mask, the correct observance of social distancing measures”, clarified in a press release posted on Twitter by its leader Paris Police Department Didier Lalman.

The obligation to use the mask is therefore imposed on markets, flea markets, bazaars, rallies, demonstrations involving “10 or more people”, bus stops, trams, train stations and shopping mall entrances. , when they open, outside the school facilities and universities during the arrival and departure times of the public, outside the cultural spaces and in the waiting queues at the monuments, it is pointed out.
