France: Towards Macron and Melanson living together?

The leader of the Rebels now dreams of the great overthrow. Although he is not the same candidate for parliament, he has nevertheless filled the country with posters calling on the French to vote for him “as prime minister”, even though he lost a third place in the presidential election.

What at first seemed unheard of, since in France the president decides on his prime minister, begins to take shape, with a Melanson achieving the impossible, to unite the left: socialists, environmentalists, communists, based on his program for the “New Popular Union” (Nouvelle Union Populaire Ecologique et Sociale), with the difficult name based on the initials, “Nip” or “Nipes”.

Thus, as a candidate -supposedly- prime minister, he accompanies the candidates of the Nipe People’s Union in all the posters of the country. And the polls encourage him since Nippes is gaining percentages moving around 26%, having in some even taken first place.

The stakes of the elections

Yesterday, the Administrative Court finally recognized Niepce as a political entity, thus introducing the name and blasting Interior Minister Gerard Darmanen, who wanted to weaken it, calculating separately the percentages of the parties that make it up.

The big challenge in the parliament is therefore, if in case Niepce has a majority in seats, Emanuel Macron will be forced to choose and live with Jean-Luc Melanson, as both François Mitterrand and Jacques Chirac were previously forced to live in.
