France will contribute 10m euros to repair shielding at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Ukraine, which was damaged by an unmanned aircraft attack in February, the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) said today. These funds will contribute to the “restoration of the basic functions” of this shield, inaugurated in 2019 by the French Consortium Novarka, a consortium by the French Bouygues and Vinci group, “after the attack of Russian unmanned aircraft in February 20”.
