All travelers arriving from China at France they should have been tested for it coronavirus before the departure of their flight, the French government announced tonight.
Due to the spike in the number of cases in China, France follows example of Italy and Spain, the first European countries to impose restrictions.
Travelers must show a negative test for the novel coronavirus before boarding and wear a mask during the flight. Random tests are also planned on arrival to sequence the genome and identify any new variants of SARS-CoV-2, a government img said.
According to British media, London intends to implement similar measures. The Times and The Telegraph are reporting today that British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is considering this possibility, while the BBC has reported that the government will announce its new policy on arrivals from China, but did not say when.
