Franciacorta in Cantina Festival: a weekend among the vineyards in celebration

Among the many activities, there are also guided tours of historical monuments, art exhibitions and concerts, cooking workshops, show cooking and lessons from chefs to learn traditional local recipes.

“We are thrilled to celebrate the 25th anniversary of our Franciacorta Festival in cantina, a consolidated format that every year brings with it the best of our tradition and our passion for wine,” said Consorzio Franciacorta President Silvano Brescianini. “This milestone represents not only a moment of celebration, but also an opportunity to reflect on the new challenges that await us.”

The anniversary was celebrated with a conference organized to relive the fundamental stages that have marked the history of the festival, with the participation of experts and pioneers of the sector who recounted the successes and challenges faced over the years: “It was a different world, there was no habit of opening the cellars to the public”, recalled Brescianini, “The festival was born to make the public aware not only of the wines, but also of the work, the producers, the territory”.
Food and wine tourism is growing, travellers are increasingly attentive and demanding, and the conference was an opportunity to lay the foundations for the future, exploring new opportunities and strategies for the evolution of the festival in the coming years.

This year, 69 wineries are open to the public to discover the secrets of production and some of the best labels in the region, from the most classic cuvées to the most prized reserves. But in addition to wine tasting, this special weekend also allows you to enjoy many gastronomic experiences: the restaurants in the area actively participate in the event by creating menus paired with Franciacorta wines to enhance the characteristics of the different cuvées.
And to celebrate the festival’s birthday, the Consortium headquarters in via G. Verdi 53 in Erbusco is also open to the public, to offer guided tastings with the Good Senses company, which allows you to appreciate every nuance of Franciacorta through a multisensory journey.
