An operation of the Acre Civil Police arrested, on Wednesday (9), Erasmo Sérgio Alves, the ‘Frankenstein’, suspected of various bank robberies in the state of Espírito Santo. Fitigeon of justice since 2017, he was living in a luxury condominium in Rio Branco. In the Acrean capital, the fugitive used fake identity and presented himself as an entrepreneur.
The report was unable to contact Alves’s defense. The space is open for any manifestation.
The chief delegate of the Narcotrafficking Police Station (Denarc), Saulo Macedo, states that Erasmo has been sentenced to more than 60 years in prison, in added penalties. He had two open arrest warrants. According to him, the agents monitored the suspect for three weeks after receiving information from the Capixaba police.
“Denarc do Espírito Santo informed us about a longtime fugitive that would be hidden here. He is a very influential criminal in that state and we confirmed that he was living in Rio Branco, under false identity, living in a high standard home, in the Tangará Set. A luxury lifestyle, far above average,” says the delegate, through the press office.
The 52 -year -old investigated was using false documents with the name of Gustavo Sérgio Alves and lived in the Acrean capital since 2017. The fugitive’s arrest was authorized by the capital’s Judge Court, which also issued a search and seizure warrant at his residence.
Compliance with arrest warrants required an operation involving teams from the Special Operations and Resources Coordination (Core) and the Integrated Center for Air Operations (Ciopaer), which mobilized a helicopter. The action was carried out early Wednesday afternoon at the fugitive residence.
During the search warrant, 14 bank cards, various fake name documents and a high value car were found. The teams also identified evidence that he was responsible for drug shipments from Acre to Espírito Santo. Investigations continue to confirm the extent of this performance. “Intelligence sources safely point out that he was a key piece in interstate trafficking. The investigation on these connections is still underway,” said Macedo.
Links with the Red Command
In 2009, during the trial of a defense request for ‘Frankestein’ to be transferred from the Federal Penitentiary of Catanduvas, in Paraná, to a state prison, the judgment of the Federal Regional Court of the 4th Region (TRF-4) pointed out that the prisoner was considered one of the ten most dangerous detainees of the state prison system.
Erasmo Sérgio Alves also said “he is proud to have followed the career of crime by choice and conviction, which began in Rio de Janeiro, where he maintains strong calls with the Red Command.” Also according to the judgment, ‘Frankenstein’ was one of the mentors of the episode that culminated in the fire of numerous buses in Greater Vitória, in the 1990s.
