Frê RestoBar opens second unit, this time in a neighborhood in the west zone of SP

Opened in 2019 at Santa Cecilia in the central region of São Paulo, the Friar it has become a sure-fire address for an audience that likes art, design and an always trendy environment (often with a DJ).

Now it’s the neighborhood’s turn. Itaim, in the west zone of the city, to win a Frê unit, which follows the same concept and standard as the parent company. Located in a double-height building, it has an area with tables that, at first, is open only during lunch hours, and a mezzanine for private events.

In both units, the decoration values ​​works of art and design, with signed paintings, lamps by Ingo Maurer, glass and murano collections, a series of illustrations by Marcelo Cipis, in addition to the reproduction of the tree of life, inspired by the work of designer Marcel Wanders.

The kitchen, run by the chefs Danilo Tavares and Nuno Urssi , prepares varied options, including pasta, risotto, meat and fish. For starters, there are items such as the Mediterranean Burrata (R$80) with fresh figs, raw ham, orange blossom honey and farofinha and Steak Tartare (R$56) accompanied by artisanal bread.

As a main course, there’s Creamy Shimeji Ravioli (R$73) or Escalope Alla Romana (R$79), a classic cut of tenderloin with raw ham and Milanese risotto, for example. On Saturdays, exclusively at FRÊ Itaim, there is a feijoada buffet (R$83).

To sweeten, Sicilian Crème Brulée (R$ 31), the traditional French recipe for a torched sugar crust, but finished with Sicilian lemon, or Crema Di Fragola 🇧🇷 R$31), a combination of strawberries cooked in cream, red fruit sauce, meringue candies and lemon zest.

To drink, signature drinks are successful, such as the Dragon Drink (R$ 42), a combination of Pitaya, strawberry liqueur and Larios gin, Mandarine (R$ 42), made with tanjal, spices, Sicilian lemon, rosemary and vodka, and the Tangerina Mint (R$42), made with tangerine, tonic, mint and Larios gin.

the environment is pet friendly after all, FRÊ is the name of one of the dogs owned by one of the restaurant partners, who was rescued from a situation of mistreatment and became a symbol of the spaces.

For those who like a party atmosphere, on Saturdays, there’s always DJs playing at Santa Cecília’s house.
