Fred Ward: The American actor died at the age of 79

The news of the veteran’s death spread sadness in world cinema actor Fred Ward, who passed away in age 79 yearsaccording to a statement issued by his spokesman.

He was born in San Diego and initially became a member of the U.S. Air Forcebut then decided to become an actor and after much effort, came the recognition in a TV movie of Roberto Rossellini, in 1974while he was loved in the roles in “Southern Comfort” as the murderous colonel Reese, as the Vietnamese veterinarian in “Uncommon Valor” and in “The Right Stuff” as the defective astronaut Gus Grisom.
