The Special Court of Albania decided to reject the request of Fredi Beleri’s advocates who requested that he be released or at least escorted to appear at the swearing-in ceremony scheduled for today in Heimarra, because as they claimed this is not provided for by Albanian legislation.
Therefore Freddy Belleri will not be in Heimarra and he will not be sworn in before the municipal council, so he will not yet be officially the mayor of Khimarra, a duty that the previous mayor will perform under Albanian law, according to ERT.
Thus begins a new adventure for Beleris, who remains in the Tirana prison hospital.
They speak of mockery in Himarra, because, as they say, the presumption of innocence remains in force and the excuses for fears of his escape are unfounded.
