“Free Palestine”: Protesters opened banners before the start of the Film Festival in Venice

A small group of protesters today unfolded in Venice a banner denouncing the war waged by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip a few hours before the start of the film festival. A twenty members of a left -wing political collective of the Venice region unfolded a banner that read “Free Palestine” and “Stop the Genocide”, as well as Palestinian flags in front of the festival. “We need to take interest in the festival to draw attention to Palestine,” Giulia Kakopardo, a member of the collective, told the French Bureau. “We hope that others will come with us to stop the genocide now,” he added.
