Free second higher education for creative people: a new law was signed in Russia

Today, July 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law granting Russians the right to receive a second higher education on a free basis in the case of art education. At the moment, the document has already been published on the Internet portal of legal information, so very soon people with creative abilities, the presence of which a special commission will be determined during the entrance exams, will be able to enter a higher educational institution of a certain direction, receiving education on a budgetary basis, that is at the expense of the state.

It is worth recalling that earlier, according to Russian legislation, it was possible to get a free higher education only once, but the authors of the new bill stated that it was necessary to do differently with creative directions. They assure that people usually come to the creative profession already in adulthood, when a higher education has long been received. Unfortunately, so far, the list of higher educational institutions and specialties, for which they will provide the opportunity to receive a second free higher education, has not been drawn up – representatives of the government will soon be engaged in this.
