Google will soon stop providing free unlimited storage for “high quality” photos on Google Photos.

As Google announced back in November 2020, from June 1, 2021, new photos and videos will start counting when uploaded to your Google account storage – 15 GB will be provided for free, and you will have to pay extra for more by purchasing a Google One subscription.
Since there is no volume limit for photos and videos uploaded before June 1, users should take care of saving all their precious memorable moments in Google Photos in advance.
However, for one category of users, everything will remain the same. Owners of the Pixel 5 and other Pixel models will be able to upload unlimited high quality photos and videos from these smartphones to free storage.
