The special electronic platform through which the insured self-employed, self-employed and farmers can freely choose the insurance category in which they wish to be classified for the new year 2022 was launched today, 12/20/2021, on the e-EFKA website. (Insured Section-> Selection of Insurance Category of Main Insurance, Auxiliary Insurance and One-Time Benefits from 1/1/2022).
The choice of insurance category is declared for the main and Auxiliary Insurance and One-Time Benefit branches in a single application and is valid for the whole year. The deadline for submitting the application – statement of choice of insurance category has a deadline of 31st / 1/2022.
It is pointed out that the specific declaration for the year 2022 will not include the declaration of parallel paid employment, as this possibility is provided by a separate electronic service. To access this Service, the user enters through the e-EFKA website: www.efka.gov.gr and follows the path: “Electronic Services” -> Unemployed Contributions-> “Social Security Rights” -> ” Application – Declaration of parallel employment “.
It is clarified that the insured who will not submit an application – statement of choice / change will remain, for the year 2022, in the category that had been classified in the previous year.
It is reminded that for the first time – based on the relevant provisions of the new insurance law 4670/2020 – the Unemployed can freely choose their insurance category on an annual basis, regardless of their income and years of work, determining the amount of their future pension.
