A group of French experts from the Civil Aviation Research and Analysis Agency (BEA) are expected tomorrow in Japanin order to contribute to research on the crash of a Japan Airlines Airbus by Japanese Coast Guard plane at Tokyo airport.
The Airbus A350 of the Japanese company collided, during its landing at Haneda Airport, with a Bombardier Dash 8 of the Coast Guard, which was preparing to take off. The causes of the accident are still unclear.
The 367 passengers and 12 crew members of the Airbus managed to evacuate it, although it was engulfed in flames. Five of the six occupants of the airplane of the coast guard were killed.
The French BEA participates in the technical investigations of accidents that occur abroad, as an agency of the country of manufacture of the aircraft. The A350s are manufactured in Toulouse, in south-west France. Japan Airlines has in its fleet 16 planes of the European group.
