The premiere of “Friends” turns 30 this Sunday (22). Despite having been launched in the late 1990s, the ten-season series that addresses the experiences of six friends in New York continues to be successful and win new fans every day.
In the same year that the series came to an end, in April 2004, the character Joey Tribbiani played by the actor Matt LeBlanc gained a spin-off with its story. Entitled simply as “Joey”, the production arrived in Brazil with the title “Artist’s Life” and after not achieving the same success as the original series, it ended up being canceled after two seasons.
In the plot, the character leaves New York and goes to Hollywood in an attempt to improve his acting career. He also says goodbye to the time when his friends were his family and gets the chance to turn his family into his friends.

In July of this year, “Friends” paid tribute to LeBlanc on his 57th birthday. In addition to his character, known for his womanizing ways and his silly personality, the production also features, in its main cast, Jennifer Aniston (Rachel), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe), David Schwimmer (Ross), Courteney Cox (Monica) and Matthew Perry (Chandler), who passed away in October of last year.
