According to the Google Trends platform, Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston), represented in the graph by the color blue, and Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry), represented by the color yellow, are the most popular in Google searches. Right after them, also tied, are Joey Tribbiani (Matt LeBlanc) and Phoebe Buffay (Lisa Kudrow), in green and purple, respectively.
The Geller siblings, Monica (Courtney Cox) and Ross (David Schwimmer) are the least researched, with Monica (colored red) still towering over Ross.
It is worth noting that a value of 100 in the search graph represents the highest peak in popularity of a term. A value of 50 means half the popularity and a score of 0 means that there was not enough data about the term.
The longest period of searches for the six friends was in September 2019, when the series turned 25 . At the time, Brazil even had movie sessions that featured screenings of episodes of the production. That month, Rachel Green reached a peak in searches.
Another point that stands out on the graph is October 2023, when Chandler Bing stood out in searches. The month marks the death of Matthew Perry, at the age of 54.
Perry died from the “acute effects” of ketamine, a powerful sedative, and other factors that caused the actor to lose consciousness and drown in his hot tub in October last year, according to the official autopsy.
Criminal charges have been filed against five people in connection with the actor’s death.
