Frio returns to the Southeast on Sunday (11); South will have rain throughout the week

The Southeast region of the country will have a new sharp drop in temperature starting next Sunday (11), according to Climatempo meteorologist Maria Clara Sassaki.

In an interview with CNN Radio she said that, before that, temperatures should be high, reaching 30°C throughout the week.

“The Southeast will also not have voluminous rain, at most a drizzle, and the interior of São Paulo and Minas Gerais will have low air humidity.”

South region

Santa Catarina and Paraná have rain forecast, including hail, with gusts of winds and significant accumulations. “The cold front will reach the South region, but not like last weekend, when there was frost in Rio Grande do Sul.”

North region

The meteorologist also highlighted that dry weather remains in the north of the country, with “a high risk of fire outbreaks”, such as Pará, Rondônia and Acre.

Midwest region

In the Midwest, Maria Clara said that Goiás and Mato Grosso still have complicated air quality, with dry weather. From the 10th of September there is a possibility of change.

Spring begins on September 22, as a “transition”, with characteristics of winter and summer. “We will not be free from the cold in this period”.
