Family members of hospitalized patients can return to visit their loved ones. The new arrangement, effective from 10 Marchmarks an important step towards returning to normal, although this does not mean letting our guard down on the traditional anti-Covid precautionary measures.
According to the provisions of law 11/2022, it is possible to return to visit relatives and acquaintances in non-Covid wards for at least 45 minutes a dayas long as in possession of a reinforced or simple green pass if accompanied by certification attesting the negative result of the rapid or molecular antigen test performed in the previous 48 hours.
The rules for access
In order to access the hospital wards, visitors And caregiver of hospitalized patients (excluding Covid departments) and carers will have to show the Covid-19 green pass.
Instead, it is always allowed access to carers and caregiverseven if not vaccinated but provided with simple Green Certification produced following antigenic or molecular tests, in case they assist under 12, people with physical, mental or cognitive disabilities that require support, women in labor, childbirth and postpartum, over 80, bedridden or end-of-life conditionsin presence of language barriers.
Patients who access the emergency room they will always be subjected to antigen testing. For accompanying persons, on the other hand, the possession of the Covid-19 green pass is required (even if obtained through a rapid antigen test in the last 48 hours).
Free access, on the other hand, for users and patients who access the facility for outpatient activity or daytime hospitalization. An antigenic or molecular test is performed only in the event of the presence of symptoms potentially attributable to Covid-19 and non-deferrable performance.
In case of scheduled hospitalization all patients will undergo antigen or molecular testing.
Finally, they are kept in force the usual precautions planned to limit the spread of the Covid-19 infection: measurement of body temperature, use of the surgical mask, hand rubbing with hydroalcoholic gel and maintaining a distance of at least one meter from other people.
