From 3.6 million rubles for the base: the price of the electric MINI Cooper for Russia has been announced

Today, December 7, information on the cost of the electric car Cooper SE was officially published on the official website of MINI for Russia – the new product, if the information of dealers does not change, will go on sale next spring. However, many fans of a well-known automobile brand may well be repelled by the cost of an electric car – they ask for 3.6 million rubles for the basic version of the Cooper SE called Classic, but there is also information that the final price may increase if import duties on electric cars are increased in Russia. cars.

It is worth noting that although the MINI Cooper SE for Russia will be supplied in two configuration options (basic Classic and top-end Electric), the power plant is only one – the electric car will receive an electric motor with a capacity of 184 horsepower. Thanks to this motor, a compact car is capable of a maximum speed of 150 kilometers per hour when accelerating from zero to hundreds in 7.3 seconds. Naturally, for an electric car, the indicators are quite modest, especially the acceleration dynamics, but this is a city car, so it was clearly not worth expecting record speeds from it. On the other hand, the MINI Cooper SE can travel 230-270 kilometers on one battery charge, which is quite enough for comfortable operation.

In the basic version, the car will receive a 5.5-inch digital dashboard and an 8.8-inch multimedia display, plus LED headlights and brake lights, dynamic cruise control, wireless charging and automatic dimming outside mirrors. In the more expensive Electric configuration, which costs 250 thousand more, the potential buyer also gets a parking assistant, a rear-view camera, stylish interior lighting and impressive 17-inch wheels. But, unfortunately, with a high degree of probability, these prices are still not final – the Russian authorities are currently considering a project to increase the utilization fee for electric cars, due to which the price of these vehicles may increase by 15% from 2022.
