From Anitta to Taylor Swift: remember Eliana's remarkable interviews

The presenter Eliana announced, this Monday (1), its exit from the SBT television channel through an official statement released by the broadcaster.

Eliana will no longer be part of the SBT staff from June this year. According to the channel's press office, the decision was made amicably between the parties.

For 15 years, the presenter was in charge of a program on the network about entertainment and celebrities. There, she had the chance to speak with national celebrities, such as Anitta, Hebe Camargo, Xuxa and Angélica, and international ones, such as Katy Perry, Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber.

• Eliana interviews Justin Bieber (2010)

Eliana was in Las Vegas, in the United States, to interview singer Justin Bieber in 2010, a time when he was at the beginning of his career. During the interview, the star even “hit on” Eliana, who did not reciprocate. At the time, Biber was 16 years old.

“I sat down to talk, then the power went out where we were, we were kind of in the pitch black, but the microphone was open, and then he said to me: 'Do you like younger boys?' And I, like, didn’t answer anything, he was a baby”, she recalled, in an interview with the PodDelas podcast, in 2022.

In 2011, when Justin Bieber came to Brazil for the first time, Eliana interviewed him again.

• Eliana interviews Hebe Camargo (2012)

Eliana interviewed Hebe Camargo four months before the comedian and presenter's death.

On that occasion, Eliana “invaded” Hebe’s house in order to show off more of her iconic style. During his participation in his colleague's program, Camargo showed glamorous costumes and the stories behind them.

Hebe Camargo passed away in September 2012, after suffering a cardiac arrest.

• Eliana interviews Demi Lovato (2012)

In 2012, Eliana spoke with Demi Lovato about her career and her problems with bulimia and self-mutilation, themes present in the singer's recently released album at the time, “Unbroken”.

During the interview, Demi also talked about her friendship with Selena Gomez, at the time her best friend in the industry.

• Eliana interviews Katy Perry (2012)

Eliana met Katy Perry in 2012 and the interview with the pop star was part of the presenter's 3rd anniversary special program.

Eliana recorded with Katy during the foreigner's visit to Brazil to launch her film, “Part of Me”. In the chat, the artist spoke about the colossal success of the album “Teenage Dream”, released in 2010, and a little about her personal life.

• Eliana interviews Taylor Swift and Paula Fernandes (2012)

One of Eliana's best-known international interviews was with Taylor Swift and Paula Fernandes, in 2012. The conversation is a topic on social media to this day. At the time, Taylor had collaborated with Paula on the hit “Long Live” and was in Brazil for the first time.

The trio talked about “girl chats” and other moments that go viral on the web from time to time.

• Eliana interviews Anitta (2014)

Eliana spoke with Anitta at the beginning of the singer's career, when she was still beginning to reap the rewards of her successful debut song “Show das Poderosas”, released in 2013. The presenter was one of the first to follow the artist's initial routine.

In 2014, Eliana followed Anitta's preparation before performing a show. On the occasion, the star shared beauty secrets and talked about romance, more specifically what she looked for in an “ideal man”.

• Eliana interviews Xuxa and Angélica (2019)

An iconic meeting took place in 2019, when Eliana visited Xuxa at her home, and the two even talked to Angélica, who appeared on the program remotely.

Xuxa showed details of her “real life” on the program and, for the first time on TV, joined Angélica and Eliana for a chat. Together, the trio revealed secrets of their friendship, talked about career and motherhood.
