From funk to country music: producer gives details of Anitta’s new album

The producer and composer Hitmaker assumes the production of nine songs from the singer’s latest project Anitta, titled “Anitta’s Essays” . The album arrives on all digital platforms in December 5th this year.

Inspired by the artist’s traditional shows that precede Carnival, the project includes new tracks and special collaborations with Ivete Sangalo, Simone Mendes, MC Danny and Rogerinho . In an interview with CNN Hitmaker gives details of the new project. According to him, the album will be culturally rich and is a true tribute to the country’s plurality of styles, with tracks that range from from funk to country music.

“This is a very rich album musically, culturally, like Brazil and Anitta are. We have funk, we have bregadeira, we have sertanejo, we have forró, we have axé… we have summer and Carnival guaranteed success”, he said.

Regarding the production process, Hitmaker highlighted the care and dedication involved, and revealed that the project has been thought about for a long time. “We did this work with so much care, you know? I’ve been choosing repertoire with Anitta for a year, until we reach this result. And the most incredible thing is that we both said: we don’t know what the working song is, because we love the whole album.”

A curiosity revealed by the producer was the inclusion of a last-minute track: “A song came in at 45 of the second half, at the time she was recording the vocals for the album. And we did almost everything online with her, via WhatsApp. She is terrible, she can even direct online, participating in everything”, joked Hitmaker.

“Ensaios da Anitta” promises to consolidate the long-standing partnership between Hitmaker and Anitta. Together, they have worked on several successful projects, such as “Ai papa”, “Nu” and “Saudade”.
