From 1 June 2022, the submission of new applications for the award and transfer of Auxiliary Pensions to the Private Sector will be made exclusively electronically through the website of e-EFKA. This eliminates the possibility of submitting in a natural way the supporting documents required for the submission of the application and drastically reduces the time of issuance of supplementary pensions. In addition, submitting applications exclusively electronically is an integral part of the new fast track supplementary pension process that will minimize award times.
It is noteworthy that in the last 12 months, 94,000 applications for supplementary private sector pensions have been submitted. Of these, 13,000 were submitted electronically and the remaining 81,000 by visiting local addresses.
The electronic submission of the application is done by the insured by entering the website of e-EFKA (www.efka.gov.gr), in the option: Electronic Service for Submission of Retirement Application (https://www.efka.gov.gr/el/syntaxioychoi / aitisi). It is recalled that for several months now the applications for main pensions have been submitted exclusively electronically, while within the next quarter the applications for transfer due to death for the supplementary pensions of the Public sector will be submitted exclusively electronically, where over 25,000 applications were submitted last year.
Possibility to apply in a natural way to the local addresses will continue to exist only for exceptional cases where in the main pension there is a problem during the electronic submission (eg foreigners). The possibility of either printed or handwritten application for these insured will be provided.
It is reminded that those interested are provided with the opportunity to electronically monitor the progress of their retirement application through the link https://www.efka.gov.gr/el/syntaxioychoi/parakoloythese-poreias-aiteses.
The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Kostis Hatzidakis, stated: “This new step of EFKA towards digital technology allows the immediate implementation of the new system of fast track pensions and reduces to a minimum the time required to collect and examine the data and The supporting documents submitted by the insured. At the same time, the inconvenience and unnecessary movement of the citizens to the local addresses are addressed. not to “create” mountains again from new outstanding pensions in the future “.
EFKA Governor Panagiotis Doufexis stated: “The submission – exclusively electronically – of the new applications for the award and transfer of supplementary pensions brings us closer to the full digitization of the process of submission and issuance of pensions. In fact, within the next quarter extend to supplementary public sector pensions by eliminating thousands of transfers to the Agency’s local offices “.
