The Chinese company Colorful Technology Company Limited, with the support of Nvidia, announced the opening of the first museum dedicated to GPUs in the Middle Kingdom.
GPU History Museum opened at Shenzhen New Generation Industrial Park. The museum will be able to trace the development of graphics processors from the early 80s to the present moment. This is despite the fact that Nvidia itself entered this market only in 1995.
The museum, as expected, has a collection of rare 3D maps. For example, there is Rage Fury MAXX – ATI’s first dual-GPU video card.
In addition, part of the museum is dedicated to the development of eSports in China. The facility will open for visitors in the near future.
