The year 2025 will mark an important milestone for open TV with the 60 years of TV Globo but, in addition to the broadcaster’s news, other channels are also planning changes to the schedule in the new year.
In addition to soap operas, such as the remake of “Vale Tudo” and the sequel to a beloved 6 o’clock soap opera, Globo must dedicate part of its programming to celebrating the broadcaster’s anniversary, and this can even be reflected in reality shows. At Record, the big news is the international series, which will also reach a new audience that is only growing in streaming: drama fans.
The station’s anniversary is only on the day April 26, 2025 but the celebrations should start much earlier. At the beginning of the year, Globo plans to revamp some of its current attractions, and also create a celebratory atmosphere for new programs and soap operas. The big launch will be the remake of “Vale Tudo”, which will be the broadcaster’s flagship in 2025.
Remake of “Vale Tudo”
Manuela Dias’ version of the successful work by Gilberto Braga, Aguinaldo Silva and Leonor Bassères is the big premiere of the year not only on Globo, but on open TV in general. The expectation is that the soap opera will become one of the new hits in the 9pm slot.
The cast will feature names such as Bella Campos, Humberto Carrão, Cauã Reymond, Mallu Gali, Alice Wegmann and Renato Góes, as well as Debora Block who will play the iconic villain Odete Roitman. According to what was announced by the broadcaster, the soap opera will premiere on March 31st.
Sequel to “Êta Mundo Bom”
Still in terms of soap operas, another attraction scheduled for June 2025 is the sequel to “Êta Mundo Bom”, which won the 6pm slot in 2016. The plot by Walcyr Carrasco and Mauro Wilson will take the place of “Garota do Momento” .

Ana Maria Braga will lead the new culinary reality show from Globo, the Next Level Chef. For now, the program still has no confirmed premiere date, but will be broadcast during the network’s prime time slot.
Drama on Record
Dramas have increasingly dominated global streaming platforms, and Record took the opportunity to bring “Iris – Korean Secret Organization” to your grid. With an engaging plot, the production focuses on two best friends who are recruited into a spy service agency known as the National Security Service.
There, the duo finds their friendship and loyalty put to the test, and they need to forge new alliances to escape numerous dangers with their lives. The production arrives on the channel from January 6th, at 11:30 pm.
Power Couple Brasil with new presenters
With his departure from Globo, Felipe Andreoli and Rafa Brites signed a contract three years with Record and, in principle, they should lead the new season of Power Couple Brasil – premiering in the first half of the year, but without a specific date defined so far. Furthermore, the couple must present other projects from the network and bring more irreverence to their schedule.
Boninho on SBT
Big Boss left TV Globo after 40 years of partnership, and countless successes in the house. Now, the professional’s destiny must be to join the competition, in this case, at SBT. For now, the hammer has not yet been hammered, but the rumor is that Boninho will take on some projects on the channel, which will be focused on realities.
