From the reactions to the “mega groups”, here are the news of WhatsApp

As foreseen by some advances published on the net during the past months and after the launch of the Communities, Whatsapp has finally announced through the official blog the debut of the reaction: an intuitive and easy to use solution to send immediate replies but above all to reduce the number of messages exchanged within a conversation.

It would be enough to think of how many times, within a group, we have been inundated with messages sent only to confirm the presence or not of an appointment but thanks to the reactions, instead, we can now add an emoji on the message of interest: from the thumb up to the red heart or hands joined, just make a long tap on the message to leave the most appropriate reaction based on the context and a label will indicate the total number of reactions received.

Furthermore, the service team has seen fit to make the exchange of files between its users easier: with the new update, in fact, we will be able to send files up to 2GB in size exceeding the limit of only 100 MB imposed so far. And finally, for those who need to communicate with hundreds of users at the same time by exploiting the potential of groups, a new feature is being integrated that will allow them to add up to 512 people in a single conversation.

To use the news you need to download the latest version of WhatsApp, however, if you don’t find the latest features available right away, don’t worry, as some devices may debut a few days late.
