Students of ITMO University and RedFox launched Warmr clothing production with controlled electronic heating function. This was reported by the press services of ITMO and RedFox.
As the creators promise, the electronically heated jacket retains heat for six hours, even at extremely low temperatures – down to minus 70 ° C. It is powered by a standard portable battery. The jacket can be washed without fear of ruining.
The developers explain:
The technology is based on the application of a special paste of functional polymers – fine graphite and carbon nanotubes to textiles ”.
Warmr is a business project supported by ITMO University aimed at developing a new generation of electronic textiles. RedFox is a Russian manufacturer of equipment for extreme sports and outdoor activities.
Going forward, RedFox and Warmr plan to expand their joint heated product line. In addition to clothing – jackets, trousers, gloves – the next step is the production of sleeping bags, rugs and accessories based on printed electronics.
