Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka, the former number one ranking of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), has entered into an agreement with the FTX exchange.
Naomi Osaka is joining FTX Trading and will be paid in cryptocurrencies. The tennis player will promote digital assets among women:
“We see statistics: significantly fewer women participate in the cryptocurrency industry compared to men. This disparity is seen in other financial markets as well. Cryptocurrencies appeared with the aim of breaking down barriers and giving access to finance to everyone. I am delighted to partner with FTX in order to realize this goal and help reach a female audience,” explains the former world No. 1.
The Japanese tennis player has become the first professional athlete to collaborate with the FTX crypto exchange. Osaka will be creating content for female audiences around the world, as well as displaying the FTX logo on her clothing when performing at the Miami Open. The exchange specialists promise to help Osaka itself invest in cryptocurrencies correctly.
Earlier, a Pew Research Center study showed that far more men use digital assets than women — 22% versus 10%.
