FTX Seeks To Raise $ 1.5 Billion In New Round Of Funding

The FTX cryptocurrency derivatives exchange plans to raise $ 1.5 billion in the next round of funding for its US division FTX.US.

FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried announced that the exchange will offer investors $ 1.5 billion in shares of its US subsidiary FTX.US, with FTX’s market capitalization estimated at $ 32 billion and FTX.US at $ 8 billion.

In October, FTX closed its B-1 funding round, raising $ 420.69 million, bringing the company’s market capitalization to $ 25 billion, a 39% increase over the previous B-1 round of funding, when the company raised a record $ 900 million for the crypto industry.

In August, Sam Bankman-Fried expressed his opinion that cryptocurrency derivatives play a vital role in improving the liquidity and efficiency of the digital asset market.
