The electronic platform for Fuel Pass 2 opens on Monday, after the publication of the relevant decision in the Official Gazette, as clarified by the Ministry of Digital Governance.
Applications until August 3 will be made progressively based on the last digit of the VAT number, while the platform will remain open until August 29.
For example, today and when the platform opens, those with VAT numbers ending in 0 and 1 will be able to apply.
The new fuel subsidy applies to the months of July, August and September, while the beneficiaries can once again get the money either on the immaterial digital card or in their bank account. In the first case the allowance is 15 euros higher.
It is worth noting that the beneficiaries should have already submitted their tax return, before proceeding with the submission of the application, since the incomes of 2021 are taken into account.
According to the decision published in the Official Gazette, through the special application of paragraph 4 of article 67 of Law 4950/2022, every natural person including freelancers, who are tax residents of Greece with a declared family income for the tax year 2021 up to thirty thousand (30,000) euros, increased by three thousand (3,000) euros for the spouse or cohabiting partner and additionally by three thousand (3,000) euros for each dependent child of the household and up to the amount of forty-five thousand (45,000) euros, may request the granting of financial support to it in order to contribute to covering the cost of motor fuel consumption for the months of July, August and September 2022.
Specifically for the months of July, August and September 2022 the credit amounts to the following amounts:
• One hundred (100) euros using a digital debit card for eligible owners of vehicles other than motorcycles – mopeds, with main residence in the Regions of North Aegean, South Aegean, Ionian Islands, Crete, in the Regional Unit of Islands of the Region of Attica, in the Regional Unit of Sporades of Region of Thessaly, in the Thassos Regional Unit of the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region, on the island of Samothraki of the Evros Regional Unit of the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region and on the island of Ammouliani of the Halkidiki Regional Unit of the Central Macedonia Region.
The above amount is set at eighty-five (85) euros, if the beneficiary chooses to deposit into a bank account.
2. Eighty (80) euros using a digital debit card for eligible owners of vehicles other than motorcycles – mopeds, with main residence in the rest of Greece.
The above amount is set at sixty-five (65) euros, if the beneficiary chooses to deposit into a bank account.
3. Seventy (70) euros with the use of a digital debit card for eligible owners of motorcycles – mopeds, with residence in the Regions of the North Aegean, South Aegean, Ionian Islands, Crete, in the Regional Unit of Islands of the Region of Attica, in the Regional Unit of Sporades of the Region of Thessaly , in the Thassos Regional Unit of the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region, on the island of Samothraki of the Evros Regional Unit of the Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region and on the Ammouliani island of the Halkidiki Regional Unit of the Central Macedonia Region.
The above amount is set at fifty-five (55) euros, if the beneficiary chooses to deposit into a bank account.
4. Sixty (60) euros using a digital debit card for eligible owners of motorcycles – mopeds, with main residence in the rest of Greece.
The above amount is set at forty-five (45) euros, if the beneficiary chooses to deposit into a bank account.
Each vehicle or motorcycle-moped can be declared by a single natural person, who has full ownership or co-ownership of the vehicle and the motorcycle-moped or is a lessee under a leasing contract.
Each natural person can only declare one vehicle or motorcycle – moped. A necessary condition is that the vehicle, motorcycle – moped is in traffic, that it is insured and that no traffic fees are due for it.
The entry of the natural person-beneficiary into the special application, which is accessible through the Unified Digital Portal of the Public Administration (gov. gr-ΕΣΤ), is carried out after authentication using the credentials of the General Secretariat of Public Administration Information Systems (taxisnet ), in accordance with Article 24 of Law 4727/2020 (A’ 184). This action is implemented as a service in the infrastructure of vouchers.gov.gr and will reuse the TAXISnet login services (OAuth 2.0 client) of the existing services of the FuelPass Program, according to the joint decree 2653/21.4.2022 (B’ 2030) decision of the Ministers of Finance, Development and Investments, State and Digital Governance.
The applicant completes and updates their contact information and, in particular, their email address and mobile phone number.
He also fills in his personal bank account number.
Date of submission of applications
The applications of natural persons in the special application are made in sections according to the expiring number of their tax identification number, as follows:
• 29.7.2022 for VAT numbers ending in 0 and 1
• 30.7.2022 for VAT numbers that expire in 2 and 3
• 31.7.2022 for VAT numbers ending in 4 and 5,
• 1.8.2022 for VAT numbers ending in 6 and 7,
• 2.8.2022 for VAT numbers ending in 8 and 9.
From August 3 onwards it is possible to submit applications, regardless of the expiring number of the A.F.M. of natural persons.
Ways of crediting the financial aid
The financial aid is credited by the Greek public limited company “Society of Information Monoprosopi SA”.
a) on a digital debit card, issued specifically for this purpose by a credit institution or financial organization, within the meaning of paragraphs 2 and 3, respectively, of article 3 of Law 4557/2018 (A’ 139) or
b) to a bank account of his choice.
Finally, it is stipulated that the participation of the credit institution or financial organization in the above procedure will be carried out based on the terms and conditions set in the Register of Collaborating Licensed Payment Service Providers, established by the Implementing Agency.
