Fujifilm has announced a free firmware update for the Fujifilm X-S10 camera. Firmware version 2.00, which will be available at the end of June, will add new features and improve usability.

First, it will add the ability to shoot with a camera connected to a computer running Capture One, Tether Shooting Plug-in for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom or Fujifilm X Acquire. This function can be used with both USB and Wi-Fi connections.
Secondly, the firmware will allow you to control the camera via a USB connection, installed on a compatible gimbal for video shooting. You can turn video recording on and off, select video exposure settings (shutter speed, aperture, ISO and exposure compensation) and focus. Guilin Zhishen Information Technology has announced its intention to offer stabilizers that will be compatible with the X-S10 with the new firmware version.
Thirdly, the new firmware will add an option to block controls. Turning it on will prevent you from unintentionally changing settings using dials and buttons.
