Full Roof Panorama, Spaceship Interior and Autopilot: Chrysler Shows Airflow

Almost all major car manufacturers have already announced their smooth transition to electric cars, and now the legendary American brand Chrysler can be safely added to their list. At CES 2022, the manufacturer officially announced that it would launch its first electric car in 2025, while a full-fledged lineup will be presented in 2028 – from that moment on, the brand will begin a gradual transition to electric power plants. And so that fans don’t get bored while waiting for the new car, the company has presented a concept called Airflow, which with all its features may well become a production model.

Unfortunately, as befits a concept, the manufacturer did not name the exact characteristics, but nevertheless some details were made public. For example, the Airflow car received four-wheel drive with two electric power units, each of which is located on the front and rear axles, respectively. And although the novelty has not yet been released, company representatives have already announced that they plan to optimize the platform for more powerful electric motors. Also, nothing is said about the capacity of the batteries, but the developers announced a range of 560 kilometers on a single charge, which is quite good for such a large car.

In terms of technology, of course, the new product also has something to brag about – the concept received the third level STLA AutoDrive autonomous driving system, which is being created by Stellantis. This system implies driving on public roads with a rare need for intervention from the human driver, while at the fourth level of piloting, the system no longer requires intervention (such systems are just being created). In addition, the Airflow received a fairly stylish body design with stretched headlights, a huge panoramic roof in full length and shapes reminiscent of the Tesla Model Y.

The interior of the concept is also inspiring – the manufacturer demonstrated the location of six interactive displays with touch controls at once. Two are intended for back row passengers (for viewing multimedia, maps, and so on), while four more monitors are located in the front – they allow you to control various parameters of the car, transmit information about the condition of the vehicle and provide the passenger with a separate entertainment center.
