Xiaomi yesterday announced HyperCharge technology that will charge smartphones at record speeds, and today it is presented in all its glory. And, it should be noted, the company did not lie – the power transmission is indeed a record for mobile devices.

Recall, initially it was assumed that we are talking about wired, wireless and reverse wireless charging with a total power of 200 W, but in fact it turned out that HyperCharge is a wired charging with a power of 200 W and wireless – with a power of 120 W! If you add up, you get already 320 watts – and this is without reverse wireless. Such technology, being implemented here and now, would make the Xiaomi flagship for a long time the first in terms of charging speed.

It should be noted that such a flagship already exists: the company showed the upgraded Mi 11 Pro with HyperCharge support. Its battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh is fully charged by wire in 8 minutes, without a wire – in 15 minutes. True, this smartphone is extremely experimental.
The company did not say when HyperCharge will be implemented in production devices, but this is unlikely to happen this year.
