This Wednesday (17), singer Anitta released the album cover “Funk Generation” . The album hits digital platforms on the day April 26 marking the Brazilian's debut on the Republic Records label.
In addition to the cover, Anitta spoke more about the new project. “'Funk Generation' is an album where I celebrate my roots. It’s where I express the power of Rio funk in each track – with unique, danceable and sensual beats,” she wrote on her Instagram profile.
“It’s a rhythm born in the favelas, where I grew up, that exudes resistance and art in all communities. I am proud to work on a project about a genre that is unfairly stigmatized in Brazil, but which is gradually gaining worldwide recognition”, added the singer.
Anitta also revealed that the album will feature special collaborations, which helped her “tell this story”.
