The Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro opened an investigation process against singer MC Poze do Rodo for mistreatment of animals.
The funk singer, whose birth name is Marlon Brandon Coelho Couto Silva, posted a video on his social networks in which he says that the dog, called Zé Droguinha, felt sick and had to be taken to the vet after eating marijuana.
In the report, the funk singer said he left the dog alone at home to go play football. “Zé Droguinha, look at the dog’s name, guess what happened? He ate a piece of his father’s tobacco and felt sick, he ended up, you know where?”, said the funk artist.
The process was initiated by the Environmental Protection Police Station (DPMA), which will investigate the information.
According to the police station, “the singer will be heard and other steps are in progress to determine the facts”.
This Thursday (19), after the case gained repercussions, the funk artist posted on his Instagram a photo of a report by a television channel about the case and mocked the coverage, saying that the channel should deal with the release of his new clip .
