September is the month of the restart. Immediately after the summer break Design, Fashion and Art become the protagonists of an important moment for the city of Milan, thanks to a calendar full of events that has seen, since Design Week 4 to 10 September, Art Week from 13 to 19 September and Fashion Week from 21 to 27 September.
We know that, alongside the Salone del Mobile (this time renamed “Supersalone”), the FuoriSalone events scattered throughout the city, give a boost of vitality: there are many shops that host innovative projects, showrooms that open their doors, the streets that renew their shop windows.
The event is a bridge towards the April 2022 edition: it is a special moment, both for the chosen period, but above all for the sign of trust and hope.
A decisive appointment to focus on the challenges that the design sector will have to face in the post-pandemic made possible also thanks to the support of the municipality of Milan e YesMilano.
«The September edition of the Fuorisalone represents an even more challenging goal for all operators, companies, associations and institutions that together, after this long pause due to the COVID emergency, are committed to reaffirming the role of Milan as a primary international reference point for design and the culture of the project “. Thus theCouncilor for Labor Policies, Production Activities, Fashion and Design Cristina Tajani, which continues: «We are confident that the efforts made by the companies that courageously participate in this unusual edition will be appreciated by the public and professionals “.
«Flexibility is absolutely the key word of the year, everything changes and evolves so quickly that it leaves no reference points. Companies, like designers, must be able to seize this moment by proposing solutions consistent with the context and in line with principles of sustainability: environmental, economic, social », he says Paolo Casati of Studiolabo.
Forms of Living is the key theme that accompanies the path of Fuorisalone throughout the year e the new project Fuorisalone Design Guide change the approach and move the center of the communication platform. Today the guide to events becomes an integral part of a more complex system that lives all year round thanks to an editorial plan distributed over several channels: website, magazine, TV e Meets.
