Future stars in Franciacorta, elected Michelin Destination Partner

There is a new, important agreement in the world of food & wine: Franciacorta, the most famous sparkling wine in Italy and Michelin, a leading company in the mobility sector that publishes the queen of gastronomic guides, the legendary Rossa, have joined forces in the sign of an important sharing in terms of food and wine enhancement and a sustainable environmental approach. Franciacorta has been elected Michelin Destination Partner: the presentation of the guide, in the next three years, will be held in the Brescia hills so suited to the production of classic method sparkling wine.

«Franciacorta is proud to be able to host the protagonists of the best Italian culinary quality: the chefs. We owe a great deal to catering which represents the best of the tricolor gastronomic experience. Our wines find in these ambassadors of taste and made in Italy precious allies in the most important tables in the world. Even more, after having passed the terrible period of closure, we have the pleasure of toasting and celebrating the stars in Franciacorta welcoming them with gratitude and friendship “, said Silvano Brescianini, President of the Franciacorta Consortium during the evening of 20 October, when this new partnership was unveiled in the frescoed rooms of Palazzo Clerici in Milan, which was then celebrated with a gala dinner signed by the Cerea brothers of the three-starred restaurant Da Vittorio.
“I thank Michelin for having identified Franciacorta as a destination to announce the result of a year of pursuit of excellence, which has always been the primary goal of Franciacorta winemakers”.

For Franciacorta, the partnership with the Michelin company is an important recognition and an award for the great commitment of this land and its denomination for the promotion of Made in Italy in the world. “The history of the Michelin Guide is a history of travel,” he commented Marco Do, Communication Director of Michelin Italiana. «We are delighted with this partnership which will see Franciacorta as the venue for the next three editions of the Michelin Guide. This territory is the ideal setting to continue our journey to discover the wine products of a land with a long tradition and its uniqueness that has made it one of the ambassadors of Made in Italy in the world ».

A land, in fact, which in addition to wine offers a varied cuisine rich in flavors and unique products, and which on the green transition front has been committed for years to perfecting a leading sustainable viticulture, with producers engaged in agriculture increasingly careful to minimize environmental impacts and improve functional biodiversity within the vineyard ecosystem. Lombardy continues to be the Italian region most awarded by the Michelin Guide, with 59 restaurants: 3 three stars, 6 two stars, 51 one star.
