Futurology 3000: See how AI predicts what Brazil and other countries will be like in a thousand years

Have you ever imagined how different countries on planet Earth will be in the year 3000? The task is complex, but for Artificial Intelligence (AI), which is advancing by leaps and bounds, nothing seems impossible.

The futurology exercise began after a subscriber to the “AI Imaginary World” YouTube channel suggested how countries would look like a little less than a thousand years from now. The page, which already has other predictions made by technology, accepted the demand and took on the challenge.

At first glance, the images show futuristic cities that are increasingly vertical, almost mystical, full of LED or similar lights, glass domes, unknown flying vehicles and architecture that may seem impossible for our current technology.

While some countries experience a mix of modernity, efficiency and the environment, with technological landscapes surrounded by lakes and urban forests, others hardly have the green of the forests anymore. If this is an indicator of the widespread environmental emergencies, such as climate change and global warming, only time, based on the present and future attitudes of each of its inhabitants, will answer.

Another striking feature is the lack of low-income housing and communities, even in smaller economies, at war, plagued by famine and drought, or extremely unequal.

And here’s a spoiler: Brazil seems to be represented by the city of Rio de Janeiro, with countless skyscrapers in the midst of different rock formations. Whether or not the AI will hit the predictions made in the images, the year 3000 will show.
