The tests of the second phase of the entrance exam of Fuvest take place this Sunday (16) and on Monday (17). The first day of the exams had an abstention rate of 7%. Of the 30,000 candidates summoned for this stage, 2,177 did not show up at the test sites this Sunday.
The first stage of the exams for admission to courses at the University of São Paulo (USP) included questions in Portuguese and writing. Candidates needed to analyze different types of text, which addressed relevant and current themes, such as socio-environmental and cultural issues, in addition to knowledge of the literary works that make up the list of mandatory readings.
The essay theme was “The different faces of laughter”. From the proposal and motivating texts, candidates must explore the different aspects of laughter, which can be understood as a universal characteristic of the human being, political criticism, social framework or as a form of resistance.
The test will be published in full from 6 pm on the Fuvest website.
