G. Chatzitheodosiou: Five proposals for the support of catering and entertainment companies

In the context of supporting companies directly affected by the implementation of the new restrictive measures announced by the government, the President of the Central Union of Chambers of Greece (KEEE), Giannis Hatzitheodosiou submits five proposals aimed at addressing the new crisis in which catering companies are entering and the spectacle.

“As of today, additional measures are in place to protect public health and stem the pandemic. “Catering and entertainment businesses will have a dramatic reduction in turnover”, says Mr. G. Hatzitheodosiou and adds: “In order to avoid the risk of a” padlock “, it is imperative to take immediate emergency support measures. In particular:

-To have a rent subsidy for the companies affected for the months of December and January

-The companies that will remain closed due to the implementation of the measures, to be supported with Special Purpose Compensation

To suspend the employment contracts of employees in companies that will remain closed or that will have a large reduction in turnover

-For all affected catering and entertainment companies to be given a three-month suspension of tax, insurance and banking obligations

“And finally, the government should proceed with the abolition of the return of the Refundable Advance for the companies that are affected by the new measures”.
